Spring Cleaning

While things like dump trucks full of gravel, crushed rock, and soil, and big machinery like excavators are not usually things associated with small scale organic veggie farms like Lohbrunner, there has been a lot of such things around the farm this late February. That is because we are dealing with some drainage issues, and rerouting some of the ample water that flows on this property from going into our cultivated fields, and instead sending it to a naturally low lying part of the field, fondly called the “duck pond.” This process is also allowing us to widen our driveway, which will allow for more parking and a better flow of traffic for future community events. Thanks to Co-op member Matt Varley for being the lead and coordinating this big project!
