The Foodlands Cooperative of BC

The Foodlands Cooperative of BC is at the forefront of encouraging alternative forms of land ownership to ensure our agricultural lands remain in production in perpetuity.
We help landowners, farmers, and local communities develop and support community farm models, conserve farmland, and build healthy, local food systems.
We facilitate land transfers and estate planning and and help farmers access affordable farmland. We provide and maintain an information hub of farm-related governance models, best practices, management tools, and training.
We stay connected to our stakeholders through a web page, a network, roundtable and other meetings, and personal contact. The Foodlands Cooperative of BC has emerged from the Community Farms Network, the Indigenous Working Group on Food Sovereignty, the Young Agrarians, and FarmFolk CityFolk’s work on sustainable agriculture and local food systems.
